Immunisations
The Parkmore Medical Centre provides a wide range of medical services with the latest up to date equipment and knowledge. These include the following.
Travel Immunisations
For those of you traveling abroad we can provide up to date advice and have a full range of travel vaccines. Make an appointment well in advance to discuss your vaccination needs as many need to be given one month prior to travel to ensure optimal protection. Your doctor can also advise you on other measures to protect against malaria and how to treat minor illnesses whilst away.
Vaccinations
We strongly recommend that all children are fully immunized, and all pediatric vaccines are available at the surgery. Meningococcal vaccine is available at no cost for all children up to the age of 19 years. We also encourage parents to consider the safe and effective vaccinations for chicken pox and pneumococcal pneumonia and meningitis. Please feel free to ask one of the practice nurses for more information or your doctor at your next visit.
